Meredith Pritchard moved from Chicago, IL to State College, PA in July of 2015. As a student-athlete at Elizabethtown College, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a concentration in Marketing and a Musical Theatre minor. In 2011, she entered the fast growing world of technology and innovation based digital banking. She developed most of the start of her professional background with industry leader ING Direct, which was later acquired by Capital One and was re-branded Capital One 360. After almost five years with Capital One 360 - which included a move from Wilmington, DE to Chicago, IL - she accepted a new role with First National Bank. FNB recruited her to lead in the development of its newly formed Digital Banking Division. In February of 2016, the company’s first Student Focused Digital Branch was opened in downtown State College. FNB’s growing presence in the Penn State community has served these next generation bankers in several ways. Throughout the Fall of 2015, Meredith led a team of committed students from the Smeal College of Business in the creation of a financial literacy curriculum, which inspired her to host financial literacy classes at the branch and throughout the community. First National Bank is now the 2nd largest bank in Pennsylvania and among the top 50 banks in the U.S., with branches in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, West Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. In collaboration with senior management, Meredith will continue to develop the Student Digital Banking concept, open new branches on college campuses and build a presence throughout the FNB footprints.
In her free time, she loves to run, travel and spend time with her family. She is highly invested in her own personal and professional growth, as well as empowering colleagues to achieve their goals. She has a passion for learning about leadership and the psychology behind methods that enhance the motivation, attitudes and performance of individuals and teams in work.
